About Us
The Fair Hills Residence of the Illinois Presbyterian Home is situated on the north-west corner of Chatham Road and Lawrence Avenue in Springfield, Illinois and is surrounded by twenty-six acres of rolling meadows, woods, trees, shrubs, and flowers. The beautiful grounds provide paths, walkways and many scenic views. The Home is as alternative to living alone or captive in your own home. Residents are ambulatory and capable of performing daily living functions such as dressing, eating, personal hygiene, etc. when they are admitted to the Home. The program is not designed as a nursing home program, but as a retirement residence. However, the quality of life and safe surroundings may make it possible to avoid the future need on a nursing home.
The Fair Hills Residence offers many things which can contribute to a healthy and happy life. We offer good meals and nutrition, medical oversight of medications. an infirmary with 24 hour nursing coverage, opportunity for increased mobility and exercise, and many activities, programs and opportunities for friendship and fellowship. Residents are encouraged to entertain friends and host gatherings. The seven parlors and five outdoor porches allow residents to enjoy the entire building in addition to their own room and bath.
Our well trained staff and medical support members are affectionate and compassionate people. We care for our residents as we would want to be cared for ourselves and will accept nothing less. We are committed to providing for the whole person; body, mind and spirit. Our care for senior adults comes from the heart. Each of our residents is a unique person. The goal of our policies and programs is to respect the dignity, spiritual well-being and independence of each individual. Our loving home is spacious, clean, safe and secure. We encourage residents to be interested in life. We help to retain the dignity and general well-being of each individual by encouraging self-reliance in accordance with the abilities of each person.

Services
Shelter Care
These units come in a wide selection of private rooms with bath up to suites. Services include three meals a day, room cleaning, laundry services, all utilites except phone and cable televistion, all maintance, and nursing oversight of medications. The Beauty Shop is by appointment. Medical care, when necessary, will be provided by nurses and aides working under the residents' personal physician's orders. Fees are bases on room size. Residents are encourages to furnish their rooms with personal belongings.
Infirmary
Light-intermediate nursing care for our residents is provided in the modern Infirmary by 24 hour nursing personnel.
Independent Living
The Fair Hills Apartments aew available in efficiency, one or two bedroom units. These units are furnished with personal belongings. Services provided include the main noon meal, light cleaning, laundry of linens, most utilities and all maintance. Residents are invited to participate in all the Home's programs. Garage, or Carport space is available for a resonable fee as available.
